Big Brother tried to ramp up the ratings by awarding Helen and Paul a romantic dinner for two complete with glassfuls of wine. This was supposedly because they achieved some task set by Big brother but we know the real reasons, don't we?

Paul and Helen have dinner in the nookie room. "We could sleep in here," says Helen.

"It's a bit grubby," says Paul.

After the meal Helen threw her arms around Paul - and the hearts of the Channel 4 executives started thumping. Had the moment finally arrived?

Later Paul reminded Helen of Big G. Still under the effects of the wine she replied: "It's only an on and off relationship."

Brian suggested that Paul should back off if Big G was a bit special.

"I don't think he should back off," says Helen.

But Paul did back off and they slept in separate beds.

Helen has been nominated hours after a sneaky canoodle with Paul. When the boys made Brian squeal by teasing him in the early hours, she dashed into their room and leapt straight on to Paul's bed. Under cover of the darkness, and with the others concentrating on ribbing Brian, the pair held hands and stroked each other's arms. Big Brother's infra-red camera zoomed straight in and broadcast the scenes to the nation.

The couple's antics followed flirting in the garden which ended with Paul tickling Helen's feet until she screamed. Josh warned them: "The whole world thinks something's going on."

There has been rising sexual chemistry between the couple. Helen told Elizabeth: "It's weird in here because you forget the outside world." Her roommate warned her: "You've got to be careful, especially with the opposite sex,"

Helen failed to grasp the rules in the alphabet game. Asked for an animal beginning with "A", she said "Bee". For F she said "Frankfurt", for I "igloo", and for O "origami".

Bookies are taking bets on how far Helen and Paul will go before 10 pm on Friday. They are offering 2/1 on the couple snogging in the garden love shack, 5/1 on their getting naked in the jacuzzi and 7/1 on their either taking a shower together or spending a night in the same bed.

Helen Adams has said she is desperately missing nookie with her boyfriend, Big G. The hairdresser and dance teacher revealed she has been counting the days since she last bonked Gavin Cox.

Amma and Stuart also said their last times were just before they entered the Big Brother house three weeks ago. Josh and Narinda admitted they had gone without for a month.

But Brian said he had not had sex for two years - and did not miss it.
