Big Brother Series 2Helen and Big G
Big G says: "If Helen and Paul get it on I won't be sticking around." Helen's boyfriend has put his wedding plans on ice following her outrageous flirting with Paul. Sales engineer Gavin Cox, known as Big G, said: "I feel humiliated - I'm sick to death of it all. A man can only take so much. I really missed Helen when she went in and planned to propose when she came out. But if she and Paul get it together properly in the next few days you won't need to see me again. I'm nobody's fool - I'm not going to stick around for anything like that. I've got my own mind." In a coincidence Helen told housemates she would accept if Gavin proposed to her. She revealed: "I'd say yes." But, ominously, she added with a laugh: "That doesn't mean I don't like Paul. You've still got a chance, Paul. Can you imagine a Big Brother wedding?" Helen then led Paul off for a haircut before an intimate dinner for two in the Channel 4 house's Love Shack. Paul teased her, saying: "If my date turns out to look like you, I'm in for a good night." Helen flirted back, announcing: "We're going to play truth or dare tonight." Big G said: "I'm not even sure I want to go down to London (for the Friday shaw) after the things I've seen and heard on TV. It's not nice." He revealed he has lost more than half a stone in weight and hardly slept a wink because of his fears over Helen and computer designer Paul. He has even avoided socialising with the couple's friends for fear of being teased about the TV shenanigans. His worst moment came when Helen, Elizabeth and Amma frolicked naked in a bubble bath - and invited Paul to join them. He said: "I couldn't believe it when they all piled into the bath. Everyone seeing my girl nude...it's heartbreaking for me. I think Helen has a duty to behave with decency." But he insists he will give Helen a chance to explain herself when she leaves the TV house in East London. Gavin said: "I'm not going to say too much more about her and Paul's behaviour until I've spoken with her. I want to retain my dignity and pride through all this. It's been very difficult sharing somebody you love with five million viewers. I go to bed and leave my mobile on in case the call comes through saying she's had enough and wants to return home." Before Big Brother, Gavin and Helen had been devoted to each other ever since they were introduced at a Cardiff restaurant by Helen's salon boss Sharon Richards. Their first anniversary fell on Helen's second day in the Big Brother house. Before the show, Gavin bought his girlfriend a silver necklace to wear. The couple agreed a secret code in which Helen would touch the necklace whenever she thought of him. When Helen wept because she was missing her man so much, Gavin sent her three cards for her 23rd birthday. But Big Brother decided not to pass them on. Gavin lives alone in a rented house in Cardiff where he has a photograph of Helen on his bedroom wall. Beside it, is a framed cartoon of the couple drawn on their first holiday abroad together. Days before Helen went into the Big Brother house the pair nuzzled up together for pictures taken in a photo booth. Gavin framed the snaps which up to last night took pride of place in his sitting room. Soon after the series began, he said: "Never a truer word was spoken than the phrase 'absence makes the heart grow fonder'. This has concentrated my feelings for Helen. The bottom line is that I've missed her and can't wait to be with her again. I've just missed knowing she's there. If I had to describe Helen I'd always call her the most beautiful girl in the world with the personality of a bottle of pop. She's a very emotional person and not afraid to show it. I don't know if Channel 4 were expecting lots of sex and debauchery. But they won't get it with Helen. Anyone watching the show can see she's not flirtatious and only has big eyes for Big G." Before her dinner with Paul Helen rushed off with Brian in tow to decide what to wear for her big night in with Paul. She decided on a revealing purple number, squealing: "This is my 'I'll eat you alive' top. Let's just get drunk and go with the flow." Brian stepped in to fuel the flames of passion, telling the pair: "You two would make a fantastic couple. You'd be so happy together it would be annoying for other people." Helen and Paul agreed they were very similar and that their friends and families would approve of the match. There has been increasing sexual chemistry between the couple since their first week in the house. Helen shifted uncomfortably as Josh questioned her about staying silent about Gavin and cheekily suggested she wanted to marry Paul. Josh said: "You aren't that keen on Big G lately are you? When I first came in here you used to talk about him all the time. You don't anymore." Explaining her silence about Gavin, Helen said: "It's good to keep them dangling a little bit. He could have been up to anything." Brian pointed out she had been "as dry as a desert" since entering the house. He then asked the blonde if she still loved her long-term boyfriend. "Yeah," Helen squeaked. "I miss him." But Josh was not satisfied with her response and went on to accuse her of forming a romantic alliance with Paul. Helen giggled "Get lost" as Josh nodded in Paul's direction. "That's a shame," he told her. "We could have had a Big Brother wedding."
