Big Brother Series 2

Stuart

Stuart was constantly strutting around wearing just his shorts and has been exposed as a man who'll drop anything for a bit of attention.

The 36-year-old contestant denied he thought the sun shone out of his backside after he was picked for eviction by 86 per cent of the voters to become the most hated housemate in Big Brother history. He said: "I am a poser and always have been. I still think I am 25 mentally. I am too directive and competitive. I guess that's what got me voted out - but I really am a nice guy."

His old drinking buddy Brynley Mason agrees. Brynley, 37, who grew up with Stuart in Bicester, Oxfordshire, said: "That smoothie on the telly is nothing like the Stuart I used to know. Sure, he was always a poser - everyone around here remembers him for the pink shirts and aftershave he used to wear. He has always come across as slightly superior. When we were all teenagers driving around in knackered old Escorts he was there with a convertible Lancia. The last time I saw him he pulled up outside a pub in his new Lamborghini. He had his shirt off and, as usual, was posing away like mad."

Doting dad-of-three Stuart spent his first day of freedom celebrating his son Rory's second birthday along with wife Sian who was there to meet him when he was evicted on Friday night. He said: "Big Brother gave me a great opportunity. I picked up a suntan for three weeks - if the sun was out I was out there. But I was relieved to come out. I wanted to go back to my family."

Stuart, who gave up his company executive job to go on Big Brother, is now looking for work. "I'm open for offers," he said. "I quit my job before Big Brother because I was looking for a new challenge. Stepping back from my career I took a risk, it's probably a bit of an extreme one but one I don't regret."

He'll need to find a well-paid job. Stuart, who has just bought a nine-acre Oxfordshire farm, denied he was a millionaire. He said: "I wasn't born with a silver spoon in my mouth. I left school with a couple of O-levels and I have worked bloody hard for everything I have got. Nothing has been given to me. I come from a working class background - though my mother will kill me for saying that."

Stuart denied he'd tried to turn contestants against each other with his sly eye contact. "It's unfair to say that I'm the new Nasty Nick," he said. "I was just winking at people in a friendly way - I've always done it. Sometimes it's a bit of a joke. It's just a mannerism I've got."

And Brynley confirmed his old mate has always been a bit flash. "It must have been part of his show-off nature. He was always pulling moonies," he said. "He was a real poser. He loved having his picture taken - in the shower, in front of the mirror and, as you can see in my photos, with his trousers down. All you had to do was give him a couple of drinks - and off came his trousers."

Luckily for viewers, Stuart managed to keep his trousers on during Wednesday night's headline-hitting drink-fest. As the housemates downed six bottles of wine, six bottles of champagne and 20 litres of cider to say bottoms up to birthday boy Brian, Stuart had a big bust-up with Amma. He called her "shallow" and said he didn't approve of her lifestyle. She hit back, saying he was "a smug, insecure person" and later angrily told other housemates she hoped "the whole ****ing country" voted him out of the house.

Stuart also fell out with Penny - the first person to be evicted from the house after she dropped her towel in the shower and gave viewers a full-frontal eyeful. Stuart cruelly told the Big Brother contestants that he'd sleep with any of the female contestants... except Penny. The six-foot blonde hit back, branding him an "a***hole". Maybe she saw these photos before we did...
