Just 4.3 million tuned in to watch the Beeb's flagship news show on Wednesday 30th May while 4.4 million saw Big Brother. A BBC insider said: "This was an awful performance. It simply isn't good enough." Overall the BBC1 figures for Wednesday night are its worst in 18 months. An average of just 3.5 million tuned in from 7pm to 10.30pm. As well as Channel 4's Big Brother, the BBC lost out to ITV watched by an average 10.1 million viewers Survivor on ITV has been overtaken in the ratings by Big Brother. The Channel 4 rival bagged 4.4 million viewers on 29th May - with just 4.1 million tuning into Survivor the day before.
