Channel 4 collects �4 million from phone calls

Big Brother is set to collect a cool �4 million - by more than doubling the cost of phoning to vote contestants off the show. Channel 4 is charging 25p a minute for calls compared to 10p in last year's show.

Channel 4 claims the rise is because this series is four times more expensive. But they promised to give 5p from each call to charity.

Last year calls earned Channel 4 and production firm Bazal �1.8 million.
