Big Brother Series 2

Did they or didn't they?

So Paul had to walk on 20th July. But did they finally get to lose their inhibitions in the confines of the Big Brother House?

Helen was free to although she was not aware of Big G's statements to the national press. Gavin "Big G" Cox finally decided to dump her after days of watching the pair's antics on TV. He said: "I don't love who she's become. Her antics humiliated me. I've suffered enough. I had promised Helen I'd be at the studio but I didn't feel I had to after how she behaved."

Gavin refused to come to the Big Brother studios on 13th July when Helen could have been evicted. Davina said: "Ive spoken to Big G and he doesn't feel he can go out with Helen any more. He still likes her and says she's a lovely girl and wants her to win." Poor old Big G lost a stone as he watched Helen's flirting on TV.

Helen has vowed never to get back with boyfriend Big G. Evicted contestant Josh revealed Helen's decision after he was booted out of the Big Brother House on 13th July.

"She won't be seeing Big G after the show," he declared. "She's split with him from inside the house."

In a heart-to-heart chat with Elizabeth in the early hours, Helen confessed she was desperate for a bonk after seven weeks locked in the house under the gaze of Channel 4's cameras.

"I haven't had it for ages," she said. "It's such a long time to go, especially when you're used to getting it on a regular basis."

Paul has boasted about his sexual physique and prowess - but he wimped out when Helen offered herself on a plate after their romantic meal together in the nookie room.

Evicted Josh added a new dimension to the game - claiming Paul doesn't really fancy her and is stringing the saga along to win more backing from viewers.

"I think Paul's on to a vote-winner with Helen, but I don't think he's interested in her," he told us. "He's hanging in there with her for that reason. It's a little bit staged for him. He's playing the heterosexual romantic guy and it looks good. I think Helen should be careful because he's playing a very shrewd game. And, in her naivety and innocence, she's loving it and going along with it."

"One of the reasons I was voted out was the way their relationship blossomed in the last week-especially with the romantic meal," said Josh. "It really started to kick off. It had been happening before, but this week there was the crescendo. It's a mad, bad relationship. Sometimes you'll say to them, 'Christ, you two, will you just shut up!' They're with each other all the time, having little digs, little sarcasms and innuendos."

But Josh believes Helen and Paul will finally do it - as long as Big Brother lays on enough alcohol.

"They never gave us enough booze," he said. "If they want a really big story, they've got to give them more. Helen really loosens up and gets a bit naughty with more alcohol. I think those two will tease you all the way," said Josh. "They won't let you know what's happening. Even we didn't know what was going on a lot of the time, because they kept sneaking off to the den. They keep having these secret rendezvous and whispering all the time. Helen does feel bad about what she's doing to Big G, but she's just going along with it. Why not? It seems to be working - and it's proving popular.
