Amma

Amma is a lap-dancing Londoner, 23, and says she is a "tart with a heart". She may fall out with others as she is blunt and stubborn. Her parents have just found out that she is a lap dancer. Woops!

After interviewing 1,000 out of 50,000 people wanting to appear in the show, being screened from an east London house, the producers picked Amma as one of the ten contestants.

She told of being anxious to "show Britain that not all strippers are the Jerry Springer stereotype". She also spoke of wanting the �70,000 prize to take friends on a "plush holiday". Critics wondered just how far she would take her ambition. In America winners of Survivor had offers to pose for Playboy.

The Channel 4 website invited viewers to predict if a sexual act would happen within the first week.
